We pray that this Ramadan break will be most rewarding and fruitful for you and your family’s devotions and reaffirmation of faith, aameen.

This is to stress that the break should not be considered as a ‘holiday’ and that every effort should be made to expend positive energies towards completing all teacher-assigned study so as to maintain and improve one’s knowledge.

Your son may be given specific subject tasks and activities either in hard-copy / physical workbook style, or set on line. In either case, parents can check into their son’s Year Homework Teams to ensure that information posted, and set tasks are correctly understood and completed.

We strongly urge you to ensure that your son utilizes the Easter break to reinforce his work, as much as possible.

Over this break, our expectations are that your child will: complete all assigned work in all subjects to a high standard spend one hour for daily review of Quran. Half-an-hour after Fajr and half-an-hour after Maghrib Salaat. spend a total of one and a half hours daily on Tassomai: half an hour for English, half an hour for Mathematics, and half an hour for Science. We prefer that this is done during the day, for example, from 9:00am to 1:00 pm, just before salatudh Dhuhr.  We ask parents to ensure that all other assigned activities are completed to a high standard.

This is also a reminder that computers should not be housed in your son’s room and that any and all computer work should be done under supervision, in a shared space such as in the living room.

Kindly ensure that your son spends his time productively and continues to reinforce his work so he will be well placed to do better on returning in the new term, in-shaa-Allaah. Have a restful break.
